One of Africa's largest national parks, spanning the Kafue River and the wildlife-rich Busanga Plains with diverse antelope and predators.

Spanning more than 22,400 square kilometres, Kafue is one of the largest national parks in Africa and arguably Zambia's most ecologically diverse, stretching from miombo woodland in the south to the vast, treeless grasslands of the Busanga Plains in the north. The Kafue and Lufupa Rivers sustain an exceptional range of predators, including some of Zambia's healthiest lion and cheetah populations, alongside spectacular herds of red lechwe, puku, and the roan and sable antelope rarely seen elsewhere in the country. Seasonal flooding transforms the Busanga Plains into a wildlife spectacle each dry season, drawing wattled cranes and other rare birds to its channels.
Its sheer size and remoteness mean visitors often have entire landscapes to themselves.
